Pharmacy to hire for pharmacy tech jobs in Chicago

One company is expanding and recruiting for pharmacy tech jobs in Chicago.
The CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy and Customer Center a new 150,000-squre foot mail service pharmacy in suburban Chicago.
The pharmacy will employ about 400 people.
It is located in in Mount Prospect, about 20 miles northwest of Chicago.
Available jobs include pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
The pharmacy has ambitions to fill about 50 million prescriptions per year. The facility cost $67 million to build.
CVS is based in Woonsocket, R.I., and has three other similar centers nationwide in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
CVS Caremark Corp., runs more than 7,000 drugstores nationwide.
Gov. Pat Quinn attended the grand opening.
CVS is the largest pharmacy chain in the United States, with more than 7,400 stores, and is the largest US pharmacy based on total prescription revenue. As the retail pharmacy division of CVS Caremark, it ranks as the 13th largest company in the world according to Fortune 500 in 2013. CVS Pharmacy’s leading competitor Walgreens ranked 37th.
CVS sells prescription drugs and a wide assortment of general merchandise, including over-the-counter drugs, beauty products and cosmetics, film and photo finishing services, seasonal merchandise, greeting cards, and convenience foods through their CVS Pharmacy and Longs Drugs retail stores and online through CVS.com. It also provides healthcare services through its more than 600 MinuteClinic medical clinics as well as their Diabetes Care Centers. Most of these clinics are located within CVS stores.
